Although mastectomy bras look just like regular bras, they include some important features to ensure that they support your breast prosthesis (or breast form) comfortably and discreetly.
The correct bra will also help to alleviate shoulder tension and reduce the risk of lymphoedema.
- Cups are cut to follow the shape of a breast form closely to ensure a perfect fit. In the correct size bra, your breast form will not show over the top of the cup. Elasticated edges give extra security
- Wider underband for stability, to ensure your breast form stays securely in place
- Variable fastening from 1 – 4 hooks, depending on the size, ensures you have just the right amount of support
- Supportive, adjustable shoulder straps will support your breast form without putting any strain on the shoulders. Some styles have wider, padded straps for additional comfort and support
- Choice of pocket requirements
